This research was carried out using the 8th¢¦16th Panel study on Korean children by Korea Institute of Child Care and Education. The purpose of this research was to find out the developmental changes in the emotional and behavioral problems of elementary and middle school students. The subjects of this research were 713 students. Emotional and b1ehavioral problems were measured by the Korean version(Oh & Kim, 2010) of CBCL 6-18(Achenbach & Rescorla, 2001). The data were analyzed using GLM Repeated Measures ANOVA. The research results were as follows: First, students¡¯ emotional and behavioral problems were decreased according to grades. Second, the interaction effects between students¡¯ grades and genders in the emotional and behavioral problems were not significant. This research helps to understand developmental changes of the emotional and behavioral problems from childhood to early adolescence and to develop prevention programs of problems.
