초록
본 연구는 노인의 차별경험과 삶의 질의 관계에서 노화불안의 매개효과를 검증하는 것 을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 전국의 65세 이상 노인을 대상으로 2025년 4월 10일부터 5월 4일까지 온라인과 대면 설문 방식을 통해 315명의 응답을 받아 분석하였다. 분석 결 과 첫째, 노인의 차별경험은 삶의 질에 부적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 노인 의 차별경험은 노화불안에 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 노인의 노화불안 은 삶의 질에 부적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 노인의 차별경험과 삶의 질의 관계에서 노화불안이 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과를 통해 노인의 삶의 질 을 향상시키기 위해 차별경험과 노화불안을 감소시킬 수 있는 교육 및 상담프로그램 개 발․개입의 기초자료로 활용될 수 있다는 점에 그 의의가 있다.
This study aimed to examine the mediating effect of aging anxiety on the relationship between discrimination experiences and quality of life among elderly. To this end, we collected and analyzed responses from 315 individuals aged 65 and elderly nationwide through online and in-person surveys conducted from April 10 to May 4, 2025. The results of the analysis revealed that, first, experiences of discrimination among elderly negatively impacted their quality of life. Second, experiences of discrimination among elderly positively impacted their aging anxiety. Third, experiences of aging anxiety among elderly negatively impacted their quality of life. Fourth, aging anxiety mediated the relationship between experiences of discrimination and quality of life among elderly. The results of this study are significant in that they can serve as baseline data for the development and intervention of educational and counseling programs that can reduce experiences of discrimination and aging anxiety and improve the quality of life of elderly.
