This study deeply analyzed the motivations for graduate enrollment in Fire Counseling and the growth processes of active firefighters from September to November 2025 using narrative inquiry methodology. Data were collected from six firefighters enrolled in the contract department of G University through in-depth interviews (two 30-minute sessions per participant) and analysis of personal notes based on pre-questionnaires. Findings reveal that participants' enrollment motivations stemmed from problem awareness arising from repeated disaster field experiences and desires for enhanced professional competence to "help more effectively." Unlike prior research focusing on PTSD and post-traumatic stress as pathological outcomes, this study demonstrates how such experiences can transform into positive catalysts for learning motivation and occupational identity reconstruction. Participants reported strengthened balanced crisis response capabilities and peer psychological support skills post-learning, yet highlighted the absence of formal organizational recognition and utilization mechanisms.
