본 연구에서는 대학생의 아동기 외상이 정서표현에 영향을 미치는 과정에서 부적응적 인지적 정서조절의 매개효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 대학생 422명을 대상으 로 아동기 외상 질문지, 정서표현성 척도, 부적응적 인지적 정서조절을 측정하였다. 분석 결과, 아동기 외상은 부적응적 인지적 정서조절과 정적 상관을, 정서표현과는 부적 상관 을 보였다. 또한, 외상은 부적응적 인지적 정서조절을 증가시키고 정서표현을 감소시키는 방향으로 유의한 영향을 미쳤다. 매개모형 분석에서 직접효과는 유의하지 않았으나, 간접 효과는 유의하여 완전매개모형이 지지되었다. 이러한 결과는 아동기 외상이 외상 이후의 인지적 처리 과정을 통해 정서표현에 간접적으로 영향을 미침을 보여주며, 따라서 인지 적 재구조화와 정서조절 중심의 심리 상담 개입의 필요성을 시사한다.
This study examined the mediating effect of maladaptive cognitive emotion regulation on the relationship between childhood trauma and emotional expression among college students. A total of 422 students completed self-report questionnaires assessing childhood trauma, emotional expression, and maladaptive cognitive emotion regulation. Childhood trauma was positively correlated with maladaptive cognitive emotion regulation and negatively correlated with emotional expression. It significantly increased maladaptive cognitive emotion regulation and decreased emotional expression. In the model including maladaptive cognitive emotion regulation, the direct effect of childhood trauma on emotional expression was not significant, while the indirect effect was significant, supporting a full mediation model. The results indicate that the impact of childhood trauma on emotional expression operates indirectly through cognitive processing, highlighting the importance of psychological counseling interventions that emphasize cognitive restructuring and emotion regulation.
