본 연구는 부모의 문제음주와 초기성인기(만 20세~34세) 자녀의 불안 간의 관계에서 자기자비와 자기자비불안의 순차적 매개효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 초기성인기 성인 500 명을 대상으로 구조방정식 모형 분석을 실시한 결과, 자기자비와 자기자비불안은 부모의 문제음주 및 자녀의 불안과 유의미한 상관관계를 보였으며, 자기자비와 자기자비불안은 각각 부분 매개효과를 나타냈다. 또한 자기자비와 자기자비불안은 부모의 문제음주와 자 녀의 불안 간의 관계를 순차적으로 매개하는 이중 매개효과를 보였다. 이러한 결과는 부 모의 문제음주가 초기성인기 자녀의 불안에 영향을 미치는 과정에서 자기자비와 자기자 비불안이 중요한 심리적 기제로 작용함을 시사한다.

This study examined the sequential mediating effects of self-compassion and fear of self-compassion in the relationship between parental problem drinking and anxiety among emerging adults aged 20–34. Structural equation modeling was conducted with data from 500 participants. Results showed that self-compassion and fear of self-compassion were significantly correlated with parental problem drinking and anxiety, and each variable demonstrated partial mediation. In addition, self-compassion and fear of self-compassion sequentially mediated the relationship between parental problem drinking and anxiety. These findings suggest that self-compassion and fear of self-compassion function as key mechanisms linking parental problem drinking to anxiety in emerging adulthood.
