This study examined early childhood teachers¡¯ perceptions and needs regarding college–industry cooperation to promote collaboration between colleges and early childhood care and education institutions. Analysis of a survey of 156 teachers indicated that practical support, such as curriculum and instructional material development, was highly needed but perceived as difficult to implement, while joint research and information exchange were constrained by institutional and time limitations. In contrast, educational and training activities, including team teaching and practicum-related guidance, were rated high in both necessity and feasibility, with a four-week practicum period considered appropriate. Participation of preservice teachers in cooperative activities was viewed positively, whereas shared use of facilities and equipment showed limited utilization. These findings suggest the need to strengthen field-oriented support and institutional foundations to enhance college–industry cooperation.
