This study explores relational mindfulness as a key factor in enhancing counseling relationships and considers its implications for counselor education. Relational mindfulness, an extension of traditional mindfulness to counselor–client interactions, fosters positive relationships through self-regulation, and receptive responsiveness, emotional attunement, relational presence, inter-subjectivity. Based on Relational– Cultural theory, Intersubjectivity theory, and Attachment theory, the study outlines core concepts and mechanisms, proposes an integrative framework, and suggests strategies for cultivating relational mindfulness in counselor training.
