This study was conducted to explore the college learning experiences of adult learners, with the aim of enhancing understanding of their learning processes and providing foundational data to support them. To this end, data were collected from 50 adult learners enrolled in the Department of Early Childhood Education at a vocational college in Daejeon, South Korea, using open-ended questionnaires, interviews, and personal statements, and were categorized through qualitative content analysis. As a result, four categories of learning experiences among adult learners emerged: ¡°A New Challenge: Choosing a Path of Life Transformation¡±, ¡°Burden and Stress: The Reality of Learning Amid Multiple Roles¡±, ¡°The Joy of Learning: Self-Renewal through Relationships and Learning¡±, and ¡°Growth and Change: A Life Transformed by Learning.¡± The learners were motivated not only by the pursuit of degrees or certifications, but also by a desire to reorient the direction of their lives. Despite the difficulties of juggling multiple roles, they experienced meaningful growth through relationships, learning, enhanced professionalism, and changes in life attitudes.
