초록
본 연구의 목적은 상담 분야에서 외국인 유학생 대상 연구의 동향을 분석하고 향후 연 구 방향을 모색하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 국내 학술지와 JCP에 게재된 외국인 유학생 대 상 연구 총 66편을 수집하여 학술지 출처, 발행연도, 연구방법, 연구대상, 연구주제를 중 심으로 분석하였다. 연구결과는 첫째, 국내 연구는 상담학 연구 등을 포함한 다양한 학술 지에 분산 게재 되었다. 둘째, 연도별 연구동향 분석 결과, 국내 연구는 최근 증가하는 추세이고 JCP에서는 감소하는 양상이 나타났다. 셋째, 연구방법에서 국내외 모두 양적연 구가 가장 빈번히 수행되었으며, 국내 학술지에서는 다양한 질적연구방법이 활용되었다. 넷째, 연구대상을 분석한 결과, 국내는 중화권 중심, JCP는 혼합집단이 많았고, 학교급은 두 출처 모두 대학생과 대학원생을 동시에 포함한 연구가 가장 많았다. 다섯째, 연구주제 는 두 출처 모두 성격 및 적응 관련 주제에 집중되어 있었다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 외국인 유학생 대상 상담 연구의 시사점과 후속 연구를 위한 제언을 논의하였다.
This study analyzed research trends on international students in the counseling field and to suggest directions for future studies. A total of 66 studies published in counseling related journals in Korea and JCP were collected. The studies were analyzed by source of journals, publication year, research method, target population, and research topic. Results showed first, studies in Korea were dispersed across various journals. Second, an increasing trend in Korea and a decreasing trend in JCP. Third, quantitative research conducted the most in both, with Korean journals employing diverse qualitative methods. Fourth, regarding participants’ nationality, Korean journals focused largely on students from Greater China, while JCP featured more mixed-nationality samples and journals included both undergraduate and graduate students. Fifth, research topics were primarily centered on personality and adjustment. Based on these findings, the study discusses implications and proposes future research directions for counseling international students.
