This study analyzes the impact of acculturative difficulties experienced by Chinese international students in Korea on their academic satisfaction and examines the mediating role of perseverance in this relationship. A survey targeting 450 Chinese international students currently residing in Korea was conducted, followed by multiple regression and mediation effect analyses. The results showed that acculturative difficulties negatively affected academic satisfaction, while perseverance had a positive effect on academic satisfaction. Moreover, perseverance significantly mediated the relationship between acculturative difficulties and academic satisfaction, suggesting that perseverance serves as an important psychological resource for overcoming adaptation challenges. These findings provide foundational data for improving the academic adaptation and satisfaction of Chinese international students and suggest practical measures, including mentoring programs, counseling services, and social support, to facilitate their successful adjustment.
