초록
본 연구는 노인의 역할상실과 우울의 관계에서 자존감의 매개효과를 살펴보고 사회적 지지가 이러한 매개효과를 조절하는 조절된 매개효과를 갖는지 확인하기 위해 조절된 매개모형 분석을 실시하였다. 이를 위해 만 65세 이상 노인 305명을 대상으로 온라인 설문 업체를 통해 자료를 수집하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 역할상실이 우울에 미치는 영향에서 자존감의 매개효과가 유의하였다. 둘째, 자존감이 우울에 미치는 영향에서 사회적 지지의 조절효과가 유의하였다. 셋째, 역할상실과 우울의 관계를 자존감이 매개하고 이를 사회적 지지가 조절하는 조절된 매개효과가 유의하였다. 본 연구결과를 토대로 역할상실로 인한 우울을 경험하는 노인들을 위해 어떠한 개입이 효과적일지에 대한 시사점을 논의하였다.
This study examined the mediating effect of self-esteem in the relationship between role loss and depression in the elderly and conducted the moderated mediating model analysis to verified the moderated mediating effect of social support on self-esteem and depression. Data were collected from 305 elderly people aged 65 or older through an online survey company. Results of this study were as follows. First, the mediating effect of self-esteem was significant on the effect of role loss on depression. Second, the moderating effect of social support was significant on the effect of self-esteem on depression. Third, the mediating effect of self-esteem was significant and the moderated mediating effect of social support on the relationship between role loss, self-esteem and depression was significant. Results of this study are meaningful in that they provide specific evidence for psychotherapy intervention for the elderly experiencing depression due to role loss.
