This study examines the impact of study abroad adjustment on grit among chinese international students in the chungcheong region and explores the moderating effect of professor support. An analysis of data from 190 students revealed that higher levels of adjustment were associated with increased grit. Professor support moderated the relationships between life adaptation, interpersonal adaptation, and grit but did not significantly influence academic adaptation, suggesting that its impact may vary. Therefore, it is crucial to identify effective conditions for professor support and develop tailored strategies. This study contributes to the theoretical model by segmenting adjustment into life, interpersonal, and academic adaptations and exploring their relationships with grit.
