The purpose of this study is to examine the psychological experiences of mothers of children with disabilities who seek professional help and the meaning of the experiences through a phenomenological research method. For this study, in-depth interviews with five mothers of children with disabilities were conducted. As a result of the analysis, 46 semantic units, 16 sub-components, and 4 components were derived. The study shows that the components are psychological conflict before seeking professional help, difficulties and stress in the process of seeking professional help, conflict resolution and stability in the process of seeking professional help, and wishes for the effectiveness of seeking professional help. The findings of the study suggest that in resolving the psychological conflicts experienced by mothers, the followings will be helpful: 'unification of disability information sharing', 'building an accurate diagnosis system', ¡®establishing an education system of child disability experts¡¯ and ¡®laying the foundation for mothers of children with disabilities to work as specialists for children with disabilities¡¯.
