The purpose of this study is to study the implementation process and operation status of the work support project for the severely disabled. The participants of the study were 7 people including the workers and managers of 3 organizations entrusted with the operation of the project by the Employment Agency for the Disabled in Gwangju Metropolitan City. As a result of analyzing the data through in-depth interviews, the research results were categorized into 3 categories, 10 topic collections, and 26 topics. First, as for the implementation process of the work support project for the severely disabled, a disabled person employed by the company fills out an application form, obtains the consent of the employer, and 'applies' to the Employment Service for the Disabled, and the Corporation evaluates the vocational ability of the disabled and requests it to the implementing agency. After 'connecting' and 'deploying' a support personnel suitable for the disabled, they visit regularly to conduct 'management' and 'operation'. Second, as for the operation status of the labor support project, the main tasks and working conditions of the labor supporter are 'subsidizing the main work of the disabled', and the working conditions are 'hourly wage work, selective working hours and non-working days off'. 'Work characteristics by type of disability' such as intellectual disability, physical disability, 'work type for each work support performance' such as production, office, and service positions, and 'main tasks of performing organizations' such as roles of the Corporation and implementing agencies, and management and supervision activities were found as their work. Third, the factors for the development of the labor support project were investigated as following three aspects. One, the aspect of workers who are required to 'Secure a pool of qualified professionals' and 'Expand the application of support targets'. Two, 'Realizing working conditions' and 'Preparing work guidelines to promote the rights and interests of labor supporters' for unavoidable additional tasks. the aspect of labor support workers of the company. Three, the application of 'compulsory pre-training', the aspect of the implementing agency such as 'deployment of specialized and additional manpower', and the side of the Corporation for 'unification and simplification of management programs' and 'preemptive measures to prevent crime and infection'.
