<Abstract>
This study examined the moderating effect of self-care on the relationship between stress of graduate students majoring in counseling, depression, life satisfaction. A total of 227 counseling graduate students nationwide participated in this study. The research results, interpersonal relationships and academic/career stress had a significant effect on depression, and academic/career stress had a significant effect on life satisfaction. In the relationship between stress of graduate students majoring in counseling and life satisfaction, the moderating effect of maintaining work–life balance and seeking professional help, which are subscale of self-care, was significant. This study is meaningful in that it studied the stress of graduate students majoring in counseling and provided implications for the importance of self-care that can be used for mental health of graduate students majoring in counseling.
