<Abstract>

This study aimed to find the mediating effect of understanding strategies and emotional control in the effects of daily stress on school adaptation for first-year middle school students who sent the free school year. The daily stress of middle school students has not only negatively affected school adaptation, but also negatively affected understanding and emotional control strategies. In the relationship between daily stress and school adaptation, understanding strategies and emotional control have been shown to serve as positive intermediaries. These results showed that self-understanding and emotional control of middle school students play a positive role in school adaptation by objectively understanding stress and preventing it from spreading problems.
