<Abstract>

The purpose of this study is to develop a brain-friendly leadership type scale that can diagnose leadership type by dividing them into six types, considering the horizontal brain dimensions of the left and right brain and the vertical brain dimensions of the cerebral cortex, limbic system, and brain stem. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, data were collected and analyzed for 512 research subjects working in small and medium-sized enterprises through preliminary and main investigation processes from June to December 2017. In particular, question analysis, question-total correlation analysis method, reliability analysis, and configuration feasibility analysis were conducted to develop brain-friendly leadership type scale. As a result of this study, 71 questions in 6 areas were developed, including 11 questions of analyst type, 9 questions of experimenter type, 11 questions of operator type, 14 questions of mediator type, 14 questions of reformer type, and 12 questions of volunteer type. The brain-friendly leadership type scale developed in this study is meaningful in that it can identify the advantages and disadvantages of leadership types considering brain propensity and characteristic, as well as develop a program that can demonstrate whole-brain integrated leadership.
