<Abstract>

The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of negative parental attitudes perceived by middle school students on aggression and the mediating effect of social withdrawal. To this end, the results of a study conducted on a total of 2,541 people using data from the 1st panel of the Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey' 2018 of the Korea Youth Policy Institute are as follows. First, it was found that the higher the negative parenting attitude of parents perceived by middle school students, the higher the aggressiveness. Second, the higher the negative parenting attitude perceived by middle school students, the higher the social withdrawal. Third, it was found that the negative parenting attitude of parents perceived by middle school students influenced aggression through social withdrawal.
