<Abstract>
The purpose of this study is to analyze the actual conditions of youth activities in Daejeon and to suggest development plans for vitalizing youth activities. To this end, a survey was conducted on 1,000 youths from middle and high schools in Daejeon on cultural and artistic activities, volunteer activities, and career activities. Culture and arts activities were sub-factors of traditional culture and arts activities, festivals, culture and arts activities, and multicultural understanding activities, while volunteer activities were subordinated by helping hands, talent sharing, and environmental protection activities, and career activities were self-understanding activities, career exploration activities, and job experience activities as sub-factors. This study investigated the participation and satisfaction of youth activities in each area according to demographic characteristics, and among them, based on statistically significant results, various development plans and policy suggestions for activating youth activities were presented.
