A Study on the Effects of Free Play Based on the 2019 revised Nuri Curriculum on the Development of Creativity and Sociality of Children

<요 약>
본 연구는 2019 개정누리과정에 근거한 자유놀이가 유아의 창의성과 사회성 발달에 미치는 효과 에 대해 알아보았다. 연구대상은 A시에 위치한 S어린이집과 M어린이집에 재원중인 만 4세 유아 38 명이었다. 실험집단의 유아 18명은 4주 동안 매일 4시간씩 2019 개정누리과정에 근거하여 유아 주 도적 자유놀이가 이루어졌고 비교집단의 유아 18명은 교사가 계획한 교육계획안에 따라 대집단 활 동, 영역별 놀이 등이 이루어졌다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS 25.0 통계 프로그램을 활용하였으며 사전검사를 공변인으로 하여 사후검사 측정치에 대하여 공변량(ANCOVA)분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 2019 개정누리과정에 근거한 자유놀이가 유아의 창의성과 사회성 발달에 통계적으로 유의미한 향상을 보였다. 또한 2019 개정누리과정에 근거한 자유놀이는 교사의 개입 방법에 따라 유아의 자유놀이 양상이 많이 달라짐을 발견할 수 있었다.

<Abstract>
This study is about the effects of free play based on 2019 revised Nuri Curriculum on the developments of creativity and sociality of children. The participants were 38 four-year-old children who attend S and M daycare centers in A city. Eighteen children in the experiment group had four-hour children-oriented free plays based on the 2019 revised Nuri curriculum everyday for 4 weeks and eighteen children in the control group had large group activities and plays by area according to the curriculum planned by their teacher. The collected data was processed by SPSS 25.0 program, and the post test results were analyzed by ANCOVA with the preliminary test as covariate. The results of the research showed statistically significant improvements in development of creativity and sociality of children by free play based on the 2019 revised Nuri curriculum. Also, for free play based on the 2019 revised Nuri curriculum, there are great variations in children's free plays depending on intervention methods of teachers
